Bulletin Board Policy

Ottawa Library maintains several bulletin boards:

• At the end of the stairs leading to the main body of the library — The purpose of this bulletin board is for disseminating Ottawa Library and Friends of the Ottawa Library information. It is enclosed with a locked, glass cover.

• In the children’s department and children’s activity room and on the wall leading into the children’s activity room -- These boards’ purpose is for promoting Ottawa Library children’s activities. 

• On the wall next to the book drop -- The board is for patron’s use to promote community information, activities, and events. While patrons are allowed to post their items, library staff has the discretion to remove any materials they deem unfit for this public bulletin board. Library staff checks it weekly to remove dated flyers. 

• By the circulation copier -- The main use for this bulletin board is to disseminate Ottawa Library and Friends of the Ottawa Library information. From time to time, we may post items here from our patron organizations. Library staff have the authority to approve such postings.

• By the downstairs elevator — The purpose of this bulletin board is for disseminating Ottawa Library and Friends of the Ottawa Library information. It is enclosed with a locked, glass co
