Storytimes

We have several regularly occurring Story Times for many different age groups. Older siblings are welcome, but the content will be geared towards the intended age group. We ask that children are accompanied by an adult.

Books & Babies

Tuesdays at 10:00 AM

Enjoy an interactive story-time with your baby that includes early literacy fun with books, songs, fingerplays, and body movement. The program will improve motor, sensory, and social skills through caregiver and baby playtime. Plus gives parents/caregivers a time to socialize with others. For ages birth- 18 months, older siblings are always welcome.

Sensory Storytime & Play

Wednesdays at 10:00 AM

This storytime is designed to engage kids through movement, music, stories, and sensory activity play. Sensory Storytime will be approximately 30 minutes and involve stories, songs, large and small movement activities, sensory experiences to stimulate all five senses, and lots of interaction. Each storytime will be followed by an open 45-minute playgroup with sensory-activity stations for kids and families to explore together. If you’re running late, feel free to just join us at approximately 10:30, once the doors open, and playtime begins. For ages 3 and older, no registration required, held in the Children’s Activity Room.

Toddler Time

Thursdays at 10:00 AM

Toddler Time is a weekly, informal storytime for children ages 18 to 36 months and their accompanying adult. Toddlers and their caregivers will learn new songs, rhymes, and fingerplays, share books and make new friends. No registration is required, held in the Children’s Activity Room.

Storytime

Fridays at 10:00 AM & Saturdays at 9:30 AM

Nurture your child’s love of books and the library while having a great time! This program is geared toward children ages 3 to 6 years old, accompanied by their favorite adult. Have fun with your child by engaging in stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, crafts, and so much more.

MESS Storytime

Generally held on the last Friday of each month and the following Saturday instead of the regular storytime.

MESS (Marvelous Explorations through Science and Stories) is an interactive storytime that gives children an opportunity to discover their world. We will begin with an introduction through stories followed by parents/caregivers leading their child through stations that reinforce the concept through science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities. Recommended for ages 3 and older, no registration required, held in the Children’s Activity Room.
