Ottawa Library Closed
UPDATE: Ottawa Library is closed until further notice. Please check our website, phone line, Facebook page, KOFO and Ottawa Herald for changes and updates.
Any materials that are being held (HOLDS) on the shelf at this time will be kept a week after our new open date. We will notify patrons, with HOLDS, when this happens.
All materials that were due Feb. 1 through May 3rd have extended DUE DATES. They have been extended to May 18th.
We check our phone and email messages everyday.
On our website, www.ottawalibrary.org, we have a HELP BUTTON on the lower, right hand side in blue. It says "Let's Chat". Please be patient, we will try to acknowledge your requests and questions as we are able.
Please note that the Ottawa Library has many online resources for the public. Our website and Facebook posts will be highlighting those resources.
The Ottawa Library will remain open Monday, March 16th, for regular hours, but will be closed Tuesday, March 17th through Saturday, March 21st.
This decision was not made lightly. We see ourselves as a vital service to the community, but public health must take priority at this time. We will reassess the situation on Friday, March 20th, to determine if further measures are warranted.
Items that are currently checked out and due during this closure will have their due dates extended. Items may still be returned through the drop box outside the front of the building. Items that are currently overdue will continue to accrue fines.
AARP Tax Sessions
We have been informed that AARP Tax sessions have been canceled nationwide for this week. If you were scheduled to meet with a Tax Assistant, you will be notified. We have no additional information at this time.
Friends of the Ottawa Library
The Friends of the Ottawa Library will not be hosting book sales as long as the Ottawa Library is closed.
