Toddler Time and Play

Toddler Time is a weekly, informal storytime, for children ages 18 to 36 months and their accompanying adult. Toddlers and their caregivers will learn new songs, rhymes, and fingerplays; share books, and make new friends. Each storytime is followed by an open playtime for children and adults to explore and socialize.

These programs are geared toward the ages listed. Attend the storytime that fits your child(ren) and your schedule. No registration is required for any of our weekly storytimes.

6 by 6 – Ready to Read

All of our storytime groups touch on the six early literacy skills that children need to acquire by the time they are six years old and ready to learn to read.

The Six Skills:
  • Have fun with books
  • Notice print all around you
  • Talk, talk, talk
  • Look for letters everywhere
  • Tell stories about everything
  • Take time to rhyme

Parents/caregivers are required to attend storytime with children. We encourage you to actively participate with your children in storytime activities to enhance their learning experience!
