Bye Felicia! I mean Lynda.com

This past June, Lynda.com’s parent company, LinkedIn, announced a plan to change the user sign-on process, requiring users to create a LinkedIn profile to access courses.

On the surface, this may seem innocent, but LinkedIn’s business model depends on the sale and use of user data. We at the Ottawa Library have a continued commitment to our patrons’ privacy.

As such, we have elected to not renew our subscription to Lynda.com and are looking for other resources that respect privacy of our patrons.
